The Impact of our Yoga & Mindfulness Programs

Our programs take place in prisons, senior centers, detention centers, addiction treatment centers, schools and more

WE BELIEVE EVERYONE DESERVES ACCESS TO THE TOOLS OF SELF-REGULATION ATTAINED THROUGH A CONSISTENT YOGA & MINDFULNESS PRACTICE.

At AIM to Empower, our mission is not just a statement; it's a commitment to creating tangible, positive change.

We measure our success by the lives we touch and the communities we empower. Through our yoga and mindfulness programs, we've witnessed personal transformations, from at-risk youth finding resilience to senior citizens discovering vitality. Our impact goes beyond statistics; it's the stories of individuals who have experienced healing, growth, and empowerment through our initiatives. Join us in celebrating these life-changing journeys and be inspired by the ripple effect of well-being and connection.

"AIM to Empower offers a chair yoga class through the Lancaster County Office of Aging. Great for loosening and strengthening muscles. Great teachers. Always encouraging. Been taking for a year. Real increases in flexibility and balance. Wouldn't miss it for anything."

"The ability to participate in this yoga program during my incarceration at LCP has been a true blessing. It is a reminder of what I must look forward to once my debt to society is paid, but more then that, it allows me to feel as though I’m not entirely cut off from the community. It reminds me that I’m still worthy and human. Two things that seem to get lost sometimes to the prison system. More practically, yoga is an excellent way to practice skills that benefit me not only in prison, but that will continue to benefit me when I am out. For example, breathing techniques that can help positively effect my mood and self soothe, and poses that help regulate body systems for health and wellness. This program is something that I look forward to every week and I hope this group can continue bringing yoga into LCP for a long time to come."

"I went to my doctor the other day, for a check-up, and he was shocked that I walked in there without a cane or walker.
He said with my age, the shape of my spine, and remembering the last time he saw me, he couldn't believe I was still able to get around totally on my own. I told him I've been doing yoga!"

"Discovering yoga and meditation in rehab has been a game-changer for me. I haven’t felt this calm in years... or maybe ever. It's the thing I look forward to the most every week, it helps me find balance and healing from the inside out."
Patient, Gaudenzia Addiction Treatment Center
"The Yoga program offered at LCP is a blessing. It is a breath of fresh air. It is a piece of humanity and serenity in a very stressful environment. It is a reminder to be flexible in not only your physical self but with your mental ability to accept stress and our current reality. It allows us the space to accept ourselves and where we are at in our lives while empowering us to change our thinking. We are so grateful to have this program. It has helped me and many other women here at LCP. Thank you for giving us this opportunity. I hope to see this program grow and blossom with the sincerest belief of how many other individuals it could positively impact like it has with me."
